You might have seen this picture that Avalyn shared recently on Instagram.

Through our connections at Long Covid Kids Avalyn was asked if she would be willing to talk to the BBC News team as part of their coverage of the Covid-19 Inquiry as it begins to look at the impact of Covid-19 on children and young people. She initially chatted with Branwen Jefferys, and a few days later we were visited by Erica and Ann at home.

"A couple of weeks back, we did an interview about my long covid, along with filming some bits and pieces. It was such a fun experience.

It still feels like a dream, being on the TV talking about something I'm so passionate about sharing.

I'll forever be grateful that I have been given these opportunities to spread awareness for what I have been through."

Today the piece aired on BBC Breakfast around 6.30 and 8.30, and they shared an in depth article on BBC News.
