"Avalyn was an absolute natural. She kept all the children completely engrossed for the entire story. They loved the lovely activity she brought. Her book had beautiful illustrations and friendly language to accompany a heartwarming tale. She answered the children's questions and engaged graciously with their curiosity. The kids were drawn to her warmth and kindness. They didn't want to let her leave!"
Mrs Miller, Year 2 Teacher, English & French lead Wincham CP School
"Our Reception and KS1 children were delighted to meet a real author! Some of them even made books to show Avalyn in advance, some made them after, due to being so inspired by her visit. Avalyn was kind and warm with the children, investing time and enthusiasm to answer their questions and see their drawings and ideas using her worksheet prompt.
What a brilliant young talent she is! A natural with children as well! We look forward to welcoming Avalyn back again next year."
Mum of children who experienced an author visit
"Thank you, Avalyn, for your visit. Both of my children enjoyed it so much! My 10 year old son said it was the best World Book Day ever! He already loves writing, but you truly inspired him to start writing his own book and he’s now determined to get published one day. Thank you for sharing your passion and creativity with the children. You are such an inspiration to young people!"
